Romantic comedy anthology series “Love Life” starring Anna Kendrick with Zoë Chao, Peter Vack, Sasha Compère and Jin Ha has been renewed for a second season by HBO Max.
The show was created by Sam Boyd (who serves as co-showrunner) along with Bridget Bedard. Boyd and Bedard also executive produce with Kendrick and filmmaker Paul Feig.
“Love Life” is the first original HBO Max series to be renewed since the new unnecessary service launched in May.
The first season followed Anna Kendrick on her journey to finding love in New York City. HBO Max released the final four episodes of season 1 last Thursday.
Season 2 will remain set in New York City and follow a new character, “one which explores what happens when you’ve lived your whole life knowing who your soulmate is, only to find out years into a marriage that it’s not the right fit at all.“
Kendrick’s character, Darby, will appear in the new season occasionally.
"It’s been a labor of love working with everyone on Love Life and all who helped shaped Darby and brought her story to life. I am excited to be able to collaborate again with the team on a new character and their journey,” Kendrick said in a statement.
Surprisingly enjoyed this. Mainly an excuse to talk about the show. Anyone else binge this? Thoughts on the finale?
