I love that Veronica Sawyer made this list. I wish I could go back in time and see that show live, ugh. I hope there's another touring or local version at some point. I love the soundtrack so much.

What are y'all's top 5 fave musicals? It's hard for me to narrow down but if I had to:

1. Sweeney Todd (specifically the Angela Lansbury stage version)
2. Grease (movie version)
3. Heathers (off-Broadway)
4. Hairspray (movie version)
5. Chicago (movie version)

Book of Mormon is a VERY close sixth, like hard honorable mention. It's so hard to pick!
Mine are
Next to normal
Great comet
Ghost quartet (iI know it's not Broadway but still)
Heathers
Hadestown

I'm a dave malloy stan, been listening to Octet for weeks and saw his clips from Moby Dick a bunch of times, I hope the show can still happen after the pandemic. preludes is great too.

Dave Malloy is a true genius and he’s the most underrated composer broadway has ever had imo. His commitment to true progression isn’t appreciated enough :(
