Walt Disney World is set to reopen in July.
Disney World and SeaWorld presented reopening proposals to the Florida’s Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force on Tuesday and they both were approved.
Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom is scheduled to reopen on July 11 and Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15. SeaWorld will reopen to the public on June 11.
There will be new changes in place. Per Jim McPhee, the senior VP of operations at Disney World:
Temperature checks upon arrival, physical distancing, enhanced cleaning, hand-washing and sanitizing stations and contactless payments and mobile orders at restaurants. Employees at the park will be given temperature checks and face coverings.
The park will reopen at limited capacity. Character meet and greets are suspended for the time being. There will be no parades or other events that attract large crowds. Playgrounds will be closed as well.
