Considering she would NEVER post someone else's intellectual property on twitter without owning the rights, her stanbase quickly became interested in her involvement in the song. The song was released online with cover art and credits. Credited as the producer: Jack Antonoff & Nils Sjöberg (the latter being the pen name that Taylor used when working with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris). The cover art features a painting of a boy in a "dolphin club" t-shirt with his face covered. Fans were quick to discover that the painting is of a photo of Taylor's brother, Austin Swift:

But why do all of this? Of course, stans think it's because she's going out of her way to devalue her masters and stick it to her old label Big Machine Records and arch nemesis, Scooter Braun:
Taylor releasing a cover of her own song under a fake band name with her brother singing on it so that no coin goes into the pockets of Scott and Scooter! 👀👏— Taylor Swift News (@TSwiftNZ) May 25, 2020

I guess a global pandemic can't stop Taylor from nurturing her many feuds!!

ONTD, what petty and pointless things are you doing to keep your feuds alive while on lockdown?
