Also that Lady Bird ending was perfect. It made me cry so hard.
Brad deserved the Oscar just for this ending...It was so heart-wrenching...hit every note.
best ever film ending is in Irreversible!

The ending of Brief Encounter. Yes it's old, but it's sublime, right from when Alec leaves at the train station and you see the hand on the shoulder again, right to Fred's 'Thank you for coming back to me,'. Gutting, intense, perfect.

I'd also like to give a shout out to Cinema Paradiso's ending, with one of the most moving, joyous, uplifting, bittersweet tributes to the magic of cinema
