Anyone trying to drag Adam Driver for his reasons for enlisting hasn't met many bored, confused, and aimless young people who enlist in the military. I might be anti war now, but when I enlisted at the age of 17 I picked my job specifically because I wanted to fight in war.

For whatever reason the hashtag #AdamDriverIsOverParty is trending on Twitter. Some of Driver’s own words about enlisting in the military to “get even” after 9/11 have been brought up and he’s accused of being Islamophobic, among other things. Stan Twitter And Fan Cams are involved... of course.

(2) he never served.
(3) he runs a nonprofit that helps active duty/vets cope with the social alienation that they suffer with due to joining. 2/3
Saying that #AdamDriver is Islamophobic because he felt compelled to join the military after 9/11 to defend his country from terrorism is STUPID. Not all terrorists are Muslims. He never mentions hating Muslims in that article & that article is MONTHS old. Y'all BORED & JEALOUS!

adam driver said he wanted to get even with terrorists, not “brown people”. so everyone saying he wanted to get even with “brown people” are implying that all brown people are terrorists.
