people just cape for him because they love the "bad boy"

He truly was. I can’t even watch the episode where he tries to force her to have sex because it makes me so uncomfortable and upset. I also hate when people are like WELL HE GREW!!!! Sorry, when it happens off screen and we never even see him apologize or truly take responsibility for the shit he did, I don’t consider that growth. He disappeared for a few seasons and they brought him back as this perfect guy just to be a foil to Logan — which is what they did to dean when they wanted to match her with Jess. All of a sudden dean went from this sweet guy who loved to trade off books with Rory to a Neanderthal who only cared about baseball and lord of the rings
