Prince Charles tests positive for coronavirus

He has mild symptoms and is 'in good health'. Camilla has tested negative.

wow, these comments are spicy
I'm not a germaphobe but I've disliked the European way of greeting people. It's just so many opportunities to contract something.
The kiss kiss? I'm originally from America, but moved to Aussie and then NZ and they all do the kiss kiss thing as well, but I never learned it so oh my god, I am still SO awkward at it and I always think people are trying to kiss me on the lips. So I just kind of bonk my cheeks into them or shy away and they're like "....?" I haven't even lived in the US for like 16 years.
My cousins are French and they do the kiss kiss thing or some people do the single kiss and I get so confused and I have definitely almost accidentally kissed people because of it lol. But yeah, a lot of physical contact when meeting someone new is not the norm for me.
lmao it's not like there is a universal European way of greeting someone

What’s a „European“ way of greeting? Latin countries do one air kiss on the cheek too (while Germans don’t do it at all). In fact in Mexico you shake hands twice

don't come to quebec then! i'm a handshake person but every time i extend a hand i get laughed at and then hugged and kissed on both cheeks
It's really awkward how the left side of the face is licked before someone spits into your mouth, true.
I wonder if all this is going to cause the cheek kissing to fall out of favor. from a disease spreading standpoint it's an absolutely horrible practice - at least hugging doesn't involve so much face against face, and hands can at least be washed after shaking hands.

also people just don't have good breath. they don't. people eat, people forget to brush their teeth, people have various dental issues etc, and none of us need to smelling that shit unless we're in an intimate relationship, you know?

Lol he may truly never become king.
I left the UK last week because my family was freaking out after the whole "herd immunity" debacle

I knew the situation over there was dire, but I didn't really realise how bad it was until I started watching the news here. The whole world is a bit "wtf are you doing?" right now

For example, one state in my country has double the amount of ICU beds than the whole UK combined!! And we are supposed to be a "third world country" in their eyes.

I am very worried about my friends over there, especially the ones with asthma
If you don’t mind me asking what country is that? Is it a richer country than the UK?

Brazil, so nope we are not lol

The UK health system just has a major underfunding problem. Now this is coming to light in front of the whole world to see

Having lived in the country, a lot of it is smoke and mirrors thanks to good marketing

So he did get a „Crown“ after all. Probably not the one he expected tho
just a tiny sneeze on andrew.. just as a treat
It's weird how many celebs are getting it but I guess it's because so many of them interact with a lot of people? Like pop stars have concerts etc
no it's because they can get tested where as average people cannot. it just seems like they are getting it more.
True. It sucks all around. What a weird timeline.
yep
yeah, more average people have it with mild symptoms/asymptomatically than we know right now
I was thinking it's because they're always getting on planes and travelling.
I'm guessing multiple factors are involved. They're able to get tested more easily than others, they interact with a bunch of people, they travel a lot, and their social circles consist of people who are similar.
way to be a dumbass

The Taylor Swift of royalty
LMFAO
Dunno why my brain autocorrected this to James Charles. Yikes.
I can imagine James Charles willingly getting virus for attention.
he'd go to disneyland to catch the measles
Wishful thinking.
The only good thing to come out of this debacle is that people don't try to hug you/kiss you/grab you as if they're long time friends when they've known you for two seconds.

People are so grabby here and everyone acts like it's such an effort not to touch.

My social phobia has really come in handy. I haven't touched another person in three weeks.
even as an American it took me until my twenties to become remotely comfortable with being hugged by relative strangers. still can't do the kissing. if women are doing it to me I can power through but I've had wayyyyy too many middle aged men grab me and go in for the kiss and then make fun of me for freezing up and not kissing back
Old men really try to take advantage of that. And they act so offended when you swerve to avoid them. There's an old guy neighbor who would always grab girls by the arm and hang on and would just not let go. And when he tried doing that to me I had to wrestle to get him to fucking let go. I had to literally push him. And now he acts so offended because I avoid him at all cost.
