Regal Cinemas has announced that all 543 of their movie theaters in the United States will be closed indefinitely starting tomorrow. This comes after the chain announced that it would mandate a 50% capacity seating in all their theaters several days ago.
The chain employs around 25,000 people and the announcement did not go into detail about how employees will be taken care of during this period.
This past weekend was one of the lowest grossed and attended since 2000.
