The musical numbers in show varied from performances by the New Directions for their competitions to just randomly breaking into song during intense scenes. Some of the songs fit the situations perfectly while other song choices were awkward and felt inappropriate for a number of reasons. Here are some that imo are questionable.
- Will Schuester (played by Matthew Morrison) was the teacher in charge of the choir and of the school's Spanish classes. He is a mess in so many ways but he was especially cringy in these performances of "Gold Digger" (where he sung with the underaged members) and "La Cucaracha" (which always included a realization of how bad this looked to his students)
- Holly Holliday (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) was introduced in season two as a substitute teacher. Her performance of "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)" is pretty creepy since she's singing it to the underaged students of the glee club.
- The New Directions also had some performances that were inappropriate and sometimes occurred during school assembly's. They performed "Push It" in the first season against Mr. Schuester's wishes and "Tik Tok" in the second season where all the glee club members were drunk.
- Also this awkward moment between Rachel and her mom where they sing Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" slowly at each other. It was weird.
