The Olympics council has been given the decision whether to cancel this years games or not. Major sporting events and concerts have been rescheduled or canceled due to the Corona Virus. Several music acts like BTS and Avril Lavigne who planned on touring in Asia canceled until further notice. Lavigne posted a statement, "I am so sad to announce that we are unable to tour the Asian markets due to the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus," she wrote on social media. "My band, crew and I have been working so hard to bring this tour worldwide and are completely bummed out".
"Please everybody take care of yourselves and stay healthy. You're in my thoughts and prayers and we are hoping to announce rescheduled shows soon." Lavigne lucked out using the virus as an excuse cuz ain't nobody wanna see her. BTS management said they would cooperate with the government's policy to refrain from holding events with a massive number of participants in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Bts Band member Jimin said: "Health is always on our minds these days, and our messages of facing your inner self and loving yourself are ultimately only possible when you're healthy".
Other acts putting a halt to their tours are Green Day and New Order.
So far Washington State reported new deaths from coronavirus on Tuesday, raising the U.S. death toll from the virus to nine. Also reports of the virus spreading to Iceland have been confirmed.
