MC thinks the political race is pick your choice of crazy. Says this that and the other. KO says it was a mistake for Sanders to praise Castro, particularly for voters in FL. Nobody wants to talk about Castro, even in a bad way. Says the literacy program was a re-education program, so it wasn’t that great to begin with, it was Castro fault they dropped in literacy. A historian would have nothing good to say about Cuba or Castro. KO says he’s a policy wonk, no Potus has lost their mandate when unemployment was under 4%. KO is saying this as an investor. KO doesn’t think Sanders will turn America into a communist country but the stats aren’t in Democrat favor. Both MC and KO move to stock market, talk about why there won’t be another crash (eg Great Depression). Gives details. Talks a lot about the stock market, economy, jobs, making ends meet. Sunny asks what they think about Bloomberg the billionaire. KO gives his opinion, compares difference between Bloomberg vs Steyer, both billionaires but one performing a lot different so money alone isn’t the reason for how they’re performing in polls.

Meghan talks about herself says blah blah. MC and KO talk about bigger deals. They talk about the show, missed opportunities, who is the meanest, etc. MC who owns the NBA Dallas Mavericks wants to retire Kobe jerseys and supports changing the NBA logo to Kobe. MC tells story. Talks about the memorial service yesterday, how strangers came together to mourn him.

ICYMI Grace and Frankie season 6 available on Netflix has a funny subplot with Shark Tank

Hot Topic Bernie Sanders Praises Fidel Castro

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfEtTs63nM8

Plays clip. Joy says that what he should be saying is, great that they’re literate but everything else is trash. Joy went 3-4 yrs ago, the infrastructure is horrible. Tells details. Quality of life is awful. Meghan has her list of Castro issues. Joy says the people were lovely, friendly, the food, the art, the culture, but the life is horrible. Sunny doesn’t understand why Sanders isn’t talking about the oppressive regime. Wonders how FL with the Cuban contingent will feel about it. Whoopi says there’s nothing good about a dictatorship. People want to say socialism is like Europe, but Sanders is talking about Latin America and South America regimes. If GOP is bad being in bed with Russia, Saudi, North Korea, then the Dems are supposed to be better. Sunny thinks we’ll hear about this in the debate, along with his voting record. Whoopi says it’s like saying well H’tler did this, he wasn’t so bad, and to Cubans that’s the same thing as praising Castro about anything.

Mimi Haley, who was assaulted by HW, and her attorney Gloria Allred. MH talks about her reaction to the verdict. She had to identify him at one point so they looked at each other during the trial but otherwise she was seated in a way she didn’t have to look at him the whole time. MH is grateful for all the women who created a safe space for her to talk about what happened. GA says MH is a hero for hanging in there, telling the truth through cross-examination. Sunny thinks it’s still the most under-reported crime because women aren’t believed. Talks about the charges where he was acquitted instead of convicted. GA talks about the other charges. GA felt they believed Annabella Sciorra who testified to the other charges, but unfortunately not to the level of beyond a reasonable doubt. GA reminds there will be a Los Angeles prosecution as well. There will be other victims, and additional testimony from more women. GA talks about why it’s common that victims remain in contact with their assaulter. Most assault cases aren’t strangers in a dark alley, they’re people they know and interact with. Groundbreaking moment where finally there are guilty verdicts even when victim behavior may not be commonly understood by those who haven’t been assaulted.

Joy asks if there is anything MH wants to say to other victims. MH doesn’t like what HW attorney said, "don’t put yourself in that position". MH says, what should be said is, don’t r’pe people. Whoopi mentions again, the narrative has shifted, people aren’t afraid anymore to come forward and give testimony. GA says even though not all charges were guilty, the jury believed the victims on some of the charges. Whoopi reads blah blah legal statement.
