Paul Schrader (First Reformed) is set to direct Oscar Isaac, Tiffany Haddish, Willem Dafoe, and Tye Sheridan in The Card Counter. Schrader will be directing the revenge thriller from his own screenplay, and the film will be produced by Martin Scorsese.
The plot: an aspiring card shark (Isaac) meets up with a man (Sheridan) who joins forces with him to help him carry out a revenge plot against a military colonel (Dafoe). The pair go on the road with a gambling financier (Haddish) to win a World Series of Poker tournament.
