Mandy Moore delighted fans with the release of "When I Wasn't Watching," her first new song in a decade, in September 2019. A second single and North American tour announcement followed in November, and now Billboard has confirmed that a new 10-track album is due in early March on Verve Forecast.
Moore's seventh studio album Silver Landings sees her re-teaming with her Amanda Leigh co-pilot Mike Viola alongside new husband and Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith. And while its content is described as "baldly confessional," it will not include songs about Moore's ex Ryan Adams, who she accused of psychological abuse in a recent New York Times exposé.
"I wrote those songs, but I don't think they were for the world to hear—they were for me to get out," she told Billboard. "I said everything I really wanted to say about that person, and I'm done having them be a part of my life whatsoever moving forward. To me, [the album's] just about owning my side of the street."
Moore has also announced a four-weekend residency at Los Angeles' Bootleg Theater, kicking off on Saturday, January 18. Tickets to the 21+ shows will be sold at the venue door on a first come, first served basis.
