Yesterday, Sony officially revealed the new logo for the upcoming PlayStation 5. So... basically the same logo used for the PS3 slim and PS4. groundbreaking.gif
Well at least they’re consistent and less confusing compared to whatever the hell Microsoft is doing with the naming of their consoles? XBox Series X? Really? But I digress...
The console itself was not unveiled nor was there any other major announcement about the upcoming next-gen console that’s due out later this year. We can expectation lot more PlayStation 5 news in the coming months through either Sony’s own press conference or possibly E3 in the Summer.
Sony also shared some official sales figures. PlayStation 4 dominated this console generation with 106 million consoles sold worldwide and counting. Could PlayStation 4 surpass the PlayStation 2’s lifetime sales of 155 million and become the new best selling console of all time? They might get close, at least.
