Today Starbucks announced that they’re adding three new dairy-free drinks to its menu, two are permanent. The Almondmilk Honey Flat White and Coconutmilk Latte drinks are being added to menus in the U.S. and Canada, while the Oatmilk Honey Latte is also being tested in select U.S. markets throughout the Midwest.
Dairy-free options are nothing new to the chain, they’ve always allowed customers the option to customize their beverages to include almond or coconut milk, but these new drinks join a growing list of menu items specifically made to highlight their plant-based milks.
The Coconutmilk Mocha Macchiato and Horchata Almondmilk Frappuccino are drinks that were already available prior to this announcement.
“Customers are looking for more ways to personalize their beverages,” explained SBux product developer Raegan Powell in an official press release. “We love how the nuanced flavor you get with plant-based milks pairs with espresso, either hot or iced. It’s a new way to start your new year.”
