Kristen Stewart is Jean Seberg
Seberg is inspired by true events about the French New Wave darling and Breathless star, Jean Seberg (Kristen Stewart), who in the late 1960s was targeted by the FBI because of her support of the civil rights movement and romantic involvement with Hakim Jamal (Anthony Mackie), among others. In Benedict Andrews’ noir-ish thriller, Seberg’s life and career are destroyed by Hoover’s overreaching surveillance and harassment in an effort to suppress and discredit Seberg’s activism.

Should’ve taken Jodie’s advice an fucked off being an actress.
Rotten Tomatoes score, 42. Super bomb. Her being mentioned for Oscar consideration is an insult to the real actresses who made good films this year. I'm side-eyeing Variety for having her as part of their Actors on Actors series. Cheapens the whole thing.

But her unapologetically working w/ allen is so wrong. same reason i dont fuck w/ JE
I was never a fan of hers and I never watched Twilight. But I do remember how unfairly she was treated by Rob's stans and had a soft spot for her bc I knew how terrible the material was.
I viewed her as being unfairly treated in comparison to Rob, but I was never an actual fan.
I think her choice to cheat on Rob was completely fucked up and inexcusable. I do remember her being 22 at the time and viewing the affair as this much older man as skeevy on his end.
If I recall correctly, she seemed genuinely remorseful. I try not to see things as black and white, but I honestly don't understand how ppl cheat. :/
So it's not as if I don't think what she did is serious. I think I was just rooting for her to grow from that and then she worked with Allen and most of my goodwill went away.
I don't think she can act or anything. But the sexism around her mistakes was really jarring for me.
Does any of what I said make sense? I am curious about what you think!!
