Indie Film Release Guide: September 13th [An ONTD Original]

ONTD Indie Release Guide Graphic.png

The Goldfinch alighted with a thud at TIFF last weekend, but it hopes to fly at the box office this weekend against STX’s newcomer Hustlers, and the lil clown movie that dominated the box office last weekend. For the record, The Goldfinch isn’t as horrifically bad as the reviews made it out to be; it’s just not very good, either.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: September 6th, August 30th, and August 23rd.
