EXCLUSIVE: Natalie Maines' ex wants to get his hands on unreleased Dixie Chicks tracks.https://t.co/CkBybRWPyC
— The Blast (@TheBlastNews) August 29, 2019
- The Blast has obtained more legal documents from the divorce battle between Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines and her estranged husband, actor Adrian Pasdar.
- Pasdar wants copies of yet-to-be-released Dixie Chicks music, because he thinks the lyrics will violate the confidentiality clause in their prenuptial agreement
- Interestingly enough, the entire reason that the divorce is dragging on is because Pasdar claims the prenuptial agreement isn't valid and he should have more money than he is entitled to. Maines and her lawyers seem confused by the new demands, considering they contradict Pasdar's stance on the prenup
- In an earlier ONTD post, OP collected a bunch of clips of the unreleased music, and is now feeling guilty about how the collection / lyric snippets may have inspired Pasdar's lawyers. If you guys are reading this: fuck right off!!
Bonus: Are The Dixie Chicks Covering Charlotte Lawrence on Their New Album?
After some sluething, OP has uncovered another Dixie Chicks song that may be on their upcoming record: a cover of a Charlotte Lawrence song
I first found this clip from the studio, with Dixie Chicks collaborator Jack Antonoff (which was apparently posted to Maines' IG Story a few months back)
https://instagram.com/p/Bw8A2ePBWQ1I googled the lyrics and found out it's a song by Charlotte Lawrence called Everybody Loves You
THEN I found a clip of Maines and Lawrence singing the song together on the Instagram of Lawrence's mom, actress Christa Miller
