Marc Maron isn’t a comic book movie fan.
Maron admits that he hadn’t seen the new ‘Avengers’ film but also explains why.
“I didn’t see ‘Endgame’. I’m proud of that, but no one cares,”
He’s just not the target audience for these films, as they’re made for less mature men.
"I have some issues with them and I generally don’t like them. I don’t want to be bullied into seeing those movies. I’m a grown-up. I’m not seven. And I think those movies are for grown, male nerd childs.”
He admits that these “nerd childs” do dictate popular culture, but he’s not happy with it.
“I have to travel 20 to 30 minutes to a smaller theater to see a grown-up movie with other grown-ups, where we can all sit together and not understand the ending. That’s part of the experience.”
The irony is that Maron’s next big film is the upcoming “Joker,”
