Thatcher Wine, celebrity bibliophile, shares his tips on collecting (and decorating) with books. https://t.co/Ha2vGF2cPo— TOWN&COUNTRY (@TandCmag) August 20, 2019
Gwyneth Paltrow, in a shockingly bougie move, hired celebrity bibliophile Thatcher Wine (yes, that's a real profession and a real person's name) to find books to stock her personal library with. In addition to finding books that his clients will like to read, he styles their bookcases in a way that matches their tastes.
For Gwyneth's house he focused on expanding her collection of fashion, art, culture, photography, and architecture books. He also found books her kids would like, and gave them some classics they might enjoy as they got older. He found an additional 500-600 books to fill out the shelves. The books in her living room have a less rigid color scheme, but the books in her dining room had to fit a grey, black and white color palette.
Would you hire someone to buy fancy books for you? What's the goofiest rich person name you've ever heard?
