For those unfamiliar: manga artist Ai Yazawa has put her series, NANA, on hold. The popular manga has been on haitus since 2009 due to the author's unspecified health issues. It's been reported that she has been undergoing treatment for a serious illness. Not much is known passed that, but it's no one's business anyway.
Fans of NANA have been staying tuned for any updates on the manga, and the latest update includes a NANA calender in 2015 that was filled with new images. It even showed both Nanas sporting longer hair from the last time we saw them - Nana Osaki's hair change was especially noticeable - which convinced fans that these were 'present' depictions of the characters.
Comic Natalie posted an article that had a message from Ai Yazawa to her fans. She said, "I'm sorry to keep you waiting! The supportive voice from everyone is always encouraging to me. Thank you very much."
Not an update on NANA itself, but still a lovely update on Ai Yazawa. NANA fans will wait forever if they have to, because Ai Yazawa's health will always be the most important thing.
