Samantha Morton: 'no regrets' at working with Woody Allen

Back in 1999, Morton starred in Allen's film "Sweet and Lowdown", an experience for which she remains "forever grateful" and for which she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Morton said that “I was working for a director who was kind, funny, and wonderful to work with. It changed my life."

Morton herself is a survivor of sexual abuse which she experienced while in residential care.
