Delia Owens is the 70-year-old bestselling author of Where The Crawdads Sing. But she is connected to a murder that happened 24 years ago in Zambia. She and her husband ran an organization dedicated to stopping elephant poaching.
In a 1995 profile with Turning Point, film crews capture someone shooting a man four times, killing him. Zambian authorities suspect Christopher Owens, the stepson of Delia. Her then-husband, Mark Owens, allegedly helped hide the body.
Even worse: ABC did not report the murder to the authorities, and there is no evidence that the victim was even a poacher.
True crime post?
