Lake Bell Recalls 'Life and Death' Experience with Her Son's Home Birth: 'He Was Not Coming to' https://t.co/X5l7247cOW— People (@people) July 23, 2019
The home birth of her first child was complicated but worked out fine in the end.
Her son was 11 lbs., came out with his cord wrapped around his neck and not breathing.
He was rushed to the NICU and they feared he would have lasting brain damage. He's fine now.
Lake went through therapy and antidepressants for year-and-a-half afterwards over the guilt she felt for chosing a home birth.
