Gigi Hadid wins battle with photogs for posting pic to Instagram

Brooklyn federal court judge Pamela Chen ruled that Xclusive-Lee Inc.’s suit against Gigi Hadid was baseless, given that they didn’t even own the copyright at the time they sued her.
Chen writes that the agency had only applied for a copyright, not been formally granted registration, making the suit baseless.

Statement from Gigi's lawyer:
“We are pleased that the Court granted our motion to dismiss this meritless case. The Court’s decision recognized this case for what it was — an effort to extract a settlement from Ms. Hadid with little regard for the basic requirements of copyright law."
