"Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came," Trump tweeted. https://t.co/4ZUou6nX2A— Hollywood Reporter (@THR) July 14, 2019
Trump tweeted racist and xenophobic remarks against four democratic congresswomen this morning.
His latest racist tirade was directed at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.
Saluting these women. Stay pushing. Stay shining. Stay working. Stay a pain in the ass of the #RacistInChief and all his co-horts. Stay true to who you are. Stay safe. Stay together. Stay making us proud. #FourQueens pic.twitter.com/jkcXe6Z96F— Ava DuVernay (@ava) July 14, 2019
This is racist. And I see Trump people are trying to spin this to just be about Rep. Omar, but we all know that’s a lie. But even if it were just about Rep. Omar, it would still be racist. We don’t tell people we’ve welcomed into this country to “go back.” https://t.co/v1uCPqCRVK— Meghan McCain (@MeghanMcCain) July 14, 2019
Let’s be clear about what this vile comment is: A racist and xenophobic attack on Democratic congresswomen. This *is* their country, regardless of whether or not Trump realizes it. They should be treated with respect. As president, I’ll make sure of it. https://t.co/WupieDquLA— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) July 14, 2019
