Many Drake fans are taking to social media to express outrage over OVO Fest ticket prices, with some claiming they were being taken advantage of.https://t.co/bldvEkF3Cd— Globalnews.ca (@globalnews) July 12, 2019
So tickets for the 2019 OVO fest went on sale today and they are really expensive.
Are you fffing kidding me?? I just spent 45 mins waiting to purchase tickets to #OVOFest to see #Drake in #Toronto and after waiting in the queue for "2000 people" ahead of me (I was in at 10 am) #Ticketmaster only now reveals the ticket prices, with General Admission $1000??!! pic.twitter.com/TfXEPBLAis— Lisa Santonato (@lisasantonato) July 12, 2019

It might simply be Tickermaster's own doing:
According to Ticketmaster.ca:
Official Platinum Seats were not purchased initially and then posted for resale; they are being sold for the first time through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster's Official Platinum Seats program enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold. The goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets, while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true value.
I did get this... but you mean to tell me just because the tickets are in demand @Ticketmaster decided that it would be a good idea to increase the price heavily... #ovofest pic.twitter.com/9xOaArzyLH— 👶🏾 (@MrsSimonee) July 12, 2019
