Independence Day feels like an artifact from a lost era of blockbuster movies. But the more things change, the more they stay the same https://t.co/XVGZTjvpwG— VANITY FAIR (@VanityFair) July 3, 2019
-Even tho we know it's not an original film, it felt original. The creators treated it like an event we've never seen before tho we all have and still will see but the way they framed the ads made it seem different.
-The cast. Who would have thought Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith as a heroic duo could work? The women actually having story and being able to do stuff. Showing all nations coming together to save world.
-"Independence Day, by contrast, is riveting, weird, and completely dumb, but proud of that fact. In some ways, it sets a low bar—one that Hollywood continues to miss."
-also Jeff Goldblum looking like this
Have an good 4th everyone. Stay safe out there.
