Detained children in interment camps have not been given beds, showers, diapers, clean clothes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and other basic necessities. Some children have been there almost a month, and the older children are being forced to care for the babies and toddlers. Lawyers allowed to inspect the centers have found children with the flu that have not been given medical attention, but all the guards are wearing face masks.
In the video below Justice Department lawyer Sarah Fabian has argued that the government does not need to provide basic hygienic items.
