In next week's cover story, E. Jean Carroll shares for the first time her violent encounter with Donald Trump. The coatdress she was wearing that day has hung in her closet ever since; she wore it again for the first time for her portrait with New York https://t.co/yPaLsRoVcH pic.twitter.com/Tx2HAzt1mi— New York Magazine (@NYMag) June 21, 2019
American journalist, E. Jean Carroll discusses the list of hideous men she has encountered in her life. The article is very triggering and graphic so fair warning for those in advance.
In 1995 or 1996, Trump recognized her as "the advice lady" (Caroll had a daily Ask E. Jean TV show for the cable station America’s Talking) in a Bergdorf’s. Caroll thought he was good looking and well dressed and recognized him as the "that real-estate tycoon!"
Trump asks Caroll if she can give him advice on a present for a girl. She offers some ideas, but Trump seems distracted and disinterested in her recommendations. He asks how old she is, and she replies 52, which Trump responds back with "You're so old!" (he had to have been in his 50's). He recommends they look at lingerie and underwear together and asks Caroll to try it on. She teases it would fit him, and he should try it on, thinking they're only just kidding she believes he'll be the one to try it on over his pants and they walk to the dressing room together.
Once they're in the dressing room, Caroll states that: The moment the dressing-room door is closed, he lunges at me, pushes me against the wall, hitting my head quite badly, and puts his mouth against my lips. I am so shocked I shove him back and start laughing again. He seizes both my arms and pushes me up against the wall a second time, and, as I become aware of how large he is, he holds me against the wall with his shoulder and jams his hand under my coat dress and pulls down my tights.
Trump then sexually assaults her, Caroll stomped on his foot and shoved him away, managing to flee what she calls a 3 minute encounter with her last hideous man. She saved the dress, never washed it, and has not had sex since the assault.
E. Jean Carroll is 16 on the list of women who have accused the Donald Trump of sexual misconduct their names are: Jessica Leeds, Kristin Anderson, Jill Harth, Cathy Heller, Temple Taggart McDowell, Karena Virginia, Melinda McGillivray, Rachel Crooks, Natasha Stoynoff, Jessica Drake, Ninni Laaksonen, Summer Zervos, Juliet Huddy, Alva Johnson, and Cassandra Searles.
