They have a whole petition. Over 20,000 people don't know wtf they're talking about. Amazing. pic.twitter.com/HcLTc2YcIE— Staten Blogging (@BloggingStaten) June 19, 2019
20,000 Christians signed an online petition urging the streaming giant Netflix to cancel the "blasphemous" show Good Omens for having God be voiced by a woman, an angel and a demon being friends, the Antichrist being depicted as a normal child, being "another step to make satanism appear normal, light and acceptable”, and other banal reasons.
The problem is that Good Omens streams on Amazon (and will hit the BBC in six months). So in a way they might think they've succeeded if they login to their Netflix account and search for the show. They've probably realized their goof by now though as the url to the original petition no longer works.
Have you ever hilariously directed your ire at the wrong target?
