Before the birth of her baby girl, Mara suffered a miscarriage three months into her first pregnancy.
It was the first time they tried for a baby and revealed the happy news to Bell on a car ride one morning.
At eight weeks, Mara went to the doctor, who “couldn’t see the embryo, but she could see the pregnancy sac”
The doctor told her to wait a week and come back to see if anything has changed.
They learned she had a blighted ovum, which means a fertilized egg doesn’t develop into an embryo.
She got pregnant again very quickly but was “so nervous it was going to happen again.”
The couple welcomed their baby girl in May.
