Says Tr/mp comments allowing election influence from foreign nations is un-American, among other things. On tax reform, he would roll back tax cuts and double the earned income tax credit. Wants the worker at the center of Dem policies. At Dem CA convention, said Medicare For All may sound good but it’s not good politics (they show clip where he was boo’ed). Instead, he wants universal healthcare as a basic human right. But, he doesn’t support making “private” insurance illegal. He feels people confuse this point, Medicare For All means no private insurance available. He wants universal health care, plus private plans desired. Emphasizes it’s an option and that options shouldn’t be restricted. //FYI in comparison, UK has universal healthcare plus private insurance available//. Panel brings up that AOC tweeted he should sashay out of the race. He talks about being a centrist and what [he thinks] people are looking for, finding common ground. He agrees with a lot of things that (example) Warren is saying, but feels some of the policies put forward are being intellectually dishonest (eg nice in premise but can’t be delivered irl). He proposes that student loans should be more affordable, free community college. Every child should also have pre-K, believes there should be emphasis on 0-4 yr olds, not only addressing the college age adults. He’s not for cash reparations, but supports fixing housing and education and eliminating structurally racist institutions. Comprehensive immigration reform (bill in 2013 that he thinks should’ve passed). Doesn’t support GND as the best way fw but supports carbon tax (give back to people in dividend), invest in innovation (new battery tech), and launch new industry called Direct Air Capture. Pro choice, repeal Hyde amendment.
Hot Topic House Panel Reauthorizes 911 Funding
Hot Topic follow up from yesterday. House panel approved bill, full House floor vote expected to approve (it has the votes, but hasn’t taken place yet). Panel wants Jon Stewart to get in front of the Senate panel. They believe this should be a fully bipartisan issue to give these first responders proper healthcare for their illnesses. Further convo about eras of comedians who turn serious. They’re baffled that Senate may not come through; it could pass with simple majority, but doesn’t have veto-proof level of votes. McConnell says it’s expensive because of course he did.
Hot Topic George Snuffleupagus Interviews TRE45ON Who Invites More Illegal Election Activity
Short version: They rehash Mueller Report findings, Tr/mp is a dum dum. In new interview with ABC News, Tr/mp thinks it’s fine to allow election influence from foreign nations, and dog-whistles bad nations to get right on that.
It goes without saying that Hellsbury Doughboy™ is purposely misconstruing the difference between intelligence sharing between allies on common strategies or adversaries, versus concerted foreign influence on an election from any other nation.
Hot Topic I Do Not Even Know

Pride Month FYI
Whoopi spotlights Frank Kameny who served in WWII. In 1957, Kameny was dismissed from his position as an astronomer in the U.S. Army's Army Map Service in Washington, D.C. because of his homosexuality, leading him to begin "a Herculean struggle with the American establishment" that would "spearhead a new period of militancy in the homosexual rights movement of the early 1960s". Kameny formally appealed his firing by the U.S. Civil Service Commission due to homosexuality. Although unsuccessful, the proceeding was notable as the first known civil rights claim based on sexual orientation pursued in a U.S. court. He also worked to remove the classification of homosexuality as a mental disorder from the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Can we PLEASE stop mocking his illiteracy for writing Prince of Whales and THANK his thoughtful parentheses for teaching us all that the Queen of England is from the U.K.? pic.twitter.com/7ahd9HoHP7— John Fugelsang (@JohnFugelsang) June 13, 2019
(Tr/mp -or his comms team- deleted the tweet and fixed Whales to Wales)
