"...she was dragged by critics who demanded that the “culture vulture” shut up and stay in her lane."
Have you wondered why it made Miley so mad? Probably because it was amazing. Follow-up to this post.
OP knows that ONTD doesn't read, so let's look at the highlights of that negative review that Miley sicked her stans on.
The first half of the review focuses on Miley's cultural appropriation, her criticizing hip hop after being done with it, then returned to her wholesome country roots for a "snoozefest that didn’t even go gold". The first half is completely relevant to the rest of the review for SHE IS COMING, because even though Miley Cyrus likes to leave her 'eras' behind, this review brings them all back to shed light on her hypocrisy.
On Mother's Daughter: "The thing is, Cyrus has more freedom and sexual liberation than the average person – her white privilege is on, dare I say, a nuclear level."
On D.R.E.A.M: "It weirdly aligns with Cyrus’ character in the fifth season of Netflix’s Black Mirror, a successful pop star who is forced to be an inauthentic version of herself in a dystopian future."
On Cattitude: omg just go to the source, it's a fun read lmao
And for what the author fully wrote in the piece that Miley took and tweeted about...
At least you fact checked one thing hennnny pic.twitter.com/R8J6udkJ6s— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) June 4, 2019
"Cyrus can continue to claim that her influence allegedly comes from her surroundings and the people that are a part of her close-knit community, but there’s not even the slightest sign of a genuine connection on any of these tracks. She’ll always be a talented singer-songwriter with a voice that could kill, but none of those fine-tuned skills come into play on this material, and it’s far too late for redemption. In her own words, “swish swish, motherfucker.”"
