Michael Rooker in talks to play King Shark in James Gunn's ‘Suicide Squad’

It has been reported that Rooker is in talks for the role of King Shark in James Gunn's Suicide Squad film. The two have a long-standing professional relationship, with Rooker having appeared in every feature film Gunn has directed so far, including Yondu in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy series.

In the comics, King Shark is a humanoid shark who started out as a Superboy villain before joining the Suicide Squad and the Secret Six. The character previously made his live-action debut in the Flash series on the CW and was originally going to be in the first Suicide Squad movie before being replaced with Killer Croc because he would have required too much CGI.
