Weezer's Blue Album turns 25 years old today

On this day in 1994, Weezer released their first album. Self-titled Weezer, it eventually became to be known as the Blue Album due to its iconic cover. It was produced by Ric Ocasek and has since sold more than 3 million copies.

The band released three singles off the album: "Undone (The Sweater Song)," "Buddy Holly," and "Say It Ain't So." Spike Jonze directed the videos for the first two singles, and the video for "Buddy Holly" was praised for its blending of nostalgia and technology by inserting the band into an episode of the TV show "Happy Days."
