Norah O’Donnell Will Help CBS News Kick Off New Mission https://t.co/77uukl0CPS— Variety (@Variety) May 7, 2019
As previously reported as speculation on ONTD, there are host changes on CBS daily news programs.
CBS news division’s first female president, Susan Zirinsky made an announcement on Monday that would signal a new era for the network. Gayle King would be the centerpiece of a restructured “CBS This Morning.” Norah O’Donnell was the next anchor of the “CBS Evening News,” only the second woman to hold that role.
Katie Couric was the first (2006–2011). Connie Chung co-anchored with Dan Rather from 1993 to 1995.
O'Donnell will start anchoring from Washington D.C. in the autumn.
Current host Jef Glor has been on the job 18 months & ratings are lower than when he first started. Zirinsky suggested other jobs for him at the network, but "their conversation was inconclusive."
