ONTD Original: Who will have the most successful career after 'Game of Thrones' is over?

Sophie Turner has become a bit of a tabloid star since linking up with Joe Jonas. Will she continue in the spotlight as a Jonas wife, or actually line up some good roles for herself? That depends on how well Dark Phoenix does. Unfortunately, it's not looking good considering the failure of the previous film X-men: Apocalypse. Aside from that, she has an independent film called Heavy coming out where it looks like she's the biggest name in the cast list.

Maisie Williams is venturing into the world of tech entrepreneurship with her social networking app Daisie. She recently gave a TEDx talk to promote the app. She also started a podcast. In regards to her acting career, Maisie doesn't appear to have any big projects lined up aside from The New Mutants which by all accounts is going to be a flop. It was supposed to be released last year, got delayed for extensive reshoots, almost got shelved entirely before settling on a August 2019 release date, and news just came out that it's been delayed yet again for 2020.

Since the launch of her career with Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke signed on to two big franchises. However, both Terminator Genisys and Solo: A Star Wars Story were considered flops whereas Me Before You made over $200 million on a $20 million budget. So maybe Emilia should stick to romantic comedies? Luckily her next project is Last Christmas which co-stars ONTD faves Henry Golding and Emma Thompson, who also wrote the screenplay. Paul Feig is directing.

It doesn't look like Kit Harington has any upcoming projects according to IMDb. Esquire mentioned Kit Harington possibly playing Batman because of an off-hand quote where he expressed some interest in the role. Despise that, Kit wants to move away from brooding, somber roles (which is exactly what Batman calls for). Right now, it looks like Kit will stick to stage acting while his wife Rose Leslie continues on as a series regular on The Good Fight.

Lena Headey's upcoming film Gunpowder Milkshake looks intriguing because of its cast. Plot details are under wrap but it's going to star Karen Gillan, Angela Bassett, and Paul Giamatti. In the meantime, Lena can be seen in Stephen Merchant's Fighting With My Family which got amazing reviews at Sundance this year.

Fun Fact: Joe Dempsie originally auditioned for the role of Jon Snow. Presumably he'll continue starring in the EPIX spy drama Deep State which he calls "the most relentless job I've ever had."

Nathalie Emmanuel is going to star in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Mindy Kaling's upcoming TV series that will air on Hulu. It's based on the movie.

Isaac Hempstead Wright is going back to the University of Birmingham to study neuroscience. He took a leave of absence to film Game of Thrones. He hopes to continue acting, as well.

Peter Dinklage had a successful acting career before Game of Thrones and it looks like he'll continue to have one with upcoming projects including The Thicket and The Dwarf.

Alfie Allen, also known as Lily Allen's slacker brother, is going to star in Taika Waititi's film Jojo Rabbit about a young boy in Hitler's army. He's also going to star in How to Build a Girl with Emma Thompson, Beanie Feldstein, Jameela Jamil, and Chris O'Dowd.

Gwendoline Christie is going to play Jane Murdstone in Armando Iannucci's The Personal History of David Copperfield which has a very British cast consisting of Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Ben Whishaw, Benedict Wong, and Peter Capaldi. She also got cast in Jason Segel's The Friend about a man with a terminally ill wife.

Jacob Anderson's primary passion seems to be music. He goes by the alias Raleigh Ritchie and released his debut album in 2016 to positive reviews. He toured around the UK, US, and Canada last year and continues to make music with his latest song "Time in a Tree" which came out at the end of 2018.
