The artist behind Jennifer Lawrence's and Cooke Maroney's portrait responds: "I've just been painting portraits this week and they wanted their portrait painted" https://t.co/Cz4baq3iXF— Vulture (@vulture) April 30, 2019
- Yesterday, Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney were spotted holding a portrait of themselves on the streets of NYC. The likeness wasn't immediately apparent, but the outfits matched, so Vulture had some questions: did they commission it? Why that style? Did they like it? and invited the artist to get in touch.
- The artist, Joel Mesler, contacted Vulture to explain that he's recently been doing portraits, that they wanted their portrait painted, and that he paints that way because "it's the best (he) can do".
Have you commissioned any art, ONTD?
