New Documentary Focuses on the History of Bay Area Hip-Hop

"Bay Area Revelations: Culture of Hip Hop" airs Saturday, April 27 at 10 p.m.

The one-hour documentary, narrated by actor Peter Coyote, will explore the impact of hip hop on the Bay Area.

The film interviews rappers Too $hort, E-40, G-Eazy, members of Hieroglypics, Saweetie, Kamaiyah, and Nef the Pharaoh. Other interviews include Bay Area DJ’s Big Von and Chuy Gomez and hip hop historian Davey D.
