Taylor Swift Hits the TIME 100 Red Carpet in a Floor-Sweeping Pastel Gown

Taylor Swift arrived to Lincoln Center in New York City Tuesday night for the annual TIME 100 gala. The “Delicate” singer arrived wearing a strapless blush and yellow J. Mendel dress and paired it with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Chloe Gosselin shoes.

To celebrate, fellow pop star and friend Shawn Mendes wrote a piece about Taylor and her fans for the TIME 100 issue. “I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan for as long as I can remember,” Mendes, 20, began during his brief essay. “But it wasn’t until I met and got to know her that I understood how wonderful a person she truly is.”

“Taylor makes the job of creating music for millions of people look easy,” he wrote. “It all comes from her—her belief in magic and love, and her ability to be as honest and raw as possible. She’s the master of putting the perfect amount of thought into not overthinking, and that’s why her music connects so well.”
