Yee Haw!:Kacey calls her music the 'gateway drug' for people who don't like country

"I'm the "gateway drug" for prospective country music fans", claims Kacey Musgraves. Kacey who was discovered on a country singing competition went on to win Album of the Year for "Golden Hour," at the Grammy's.

Kacey adds:"And these days with the genre lines being so blurred, I mean the possibilities are endless. To me music falls into two different categories. It's good and bad. But yeah, I don't believe that you have to pick a lane or stay in a lane.", which is true due to the birth of country trap.

Kacey has a tongue and cheek appeal of her image. She is proud of coming the boondocks which she refers to as the sticks. She is reminiscent of country legend Dolly Parton and some might say she's the country Katy Perry.
