While delivering his induction speech into the WWE Hall of Fame, wrestling legend Bret Hart was tackled by a spectator (the live feed immediately cut to black). The man was quickly subdued by members of Hart's family, security, and other wrestlers. Hart was uninjured and continued his speech when things calmed down.
According to a statement by the WWE, the chaos wasn't scripted and the man was turned over to authorities.
A reminder that Bret Hart is 61 years old and a stroke survivor.— Will Mahoney (@HeelWillMahoney) April 7, 2019
That isn't a "fan" that attacked him, that's an asshole. #WWEHOF
Knowing all the physical and mental anguish Bret Hart and the Hart family has endured makes it that much more disgusting. #WWEHOF— Scott Fishman (@smFISHMAN) April 7, 2019
I've reached out to WWE for comment on the Bret Hart attack situation. Fortunately Bret seemed okay after and even made light of it.— Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com (@SeanRossSapp) April 7, 2019

If it's true that it wasn't a publicity stunt, that is freaking scary.
