Keisuke Aiso, creator of the girl like monster used for its ghastly image on the viral social media hoax aimed to terrify kids, seems to be baffled by his newfound fame since it has involves claims of self harm and even suicide.
Although, glad that his work is being known around the globe, as the father of a young child, he says people should be more discreet when using the image.
The sculpture was originally displayed at the Vanilla Gallery in Tokyo’s high-end Ginza shopping district in 2016, based on yokai, supernatural creatures from Japanese folk tales.
He’s been receiving hateful messages on Facebook telling him to be ashamed for creating such a hideous monster. Some even told him to die.
