16 years ago, artists like Lumidee, t.A.T.u, and Stacie Orrico were topping the charts. Many of the artists who created their major 2003 hits were never able to replicate the success. However, their songs remain playable and always take us back in time. Let's take ANOTHER look at some of the best one hit wonders of 2003, pt. 2!
JC CHASEZ - BLOWIN’ ME UP (WITH HER LOVE)
"Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)" was the debut single from JC Chasez as he branched out of *NSYNC and tried a solo career of his own. The song was released as a single from the soundtrack to the film Drumline. The song peaked at no. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 and had a bit of success in the UK. His solo music career didn’t go much further than his debut album.
DARKNESS - I BELIEVE IN A THING CALLED LOVE
When released as a single in September 2003, Darkness’ hit single "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" peaked at no. 2 on the UK Singles Chart, just behind The Black Eyed Peas' "Where Is The Love?" The song was heavily featured on MTV but never managed to chart on the US Hot 100 despite charting on Billboard’s Alternative and Pop charts.
THE ATARIS - THE BOYS OF SUMMER
Rock band The Ataris covered "The Boys of Summer" for their album So Long, Astoria. The song became their second single when a radio station began to play it. LILLIX - IT’S ABOUT TIME
