Jussie Smollett's Texts, Check Supports Training Fee, Not 'Attack' Fee https://t.co/fDwE5pL7nU— TMZ (@TMZ) February 24, 2019
The memo line on the $3,500 check that Jussie Smollett wrote to Abel Osundairo reads, "5 week Nutrition/Workout program Don't Go." There are text messages detailing workouts and grocery lists. Abel and his brother Ola also told the grand jury that the payment was for training.
According to Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Risa Lanier, text messages revealed that Abel Osundairo was a source of designer drugs for Smollett. Since spring of 2018, Smollett requested that Abel provide him with MDMA. Smollett also told police that he has an untreated drug problem after he turned himself in.
Terrence Howard posted a video on Instagram of Smollett holding his baby son. He responded to a fan in the comments section with the following: "Sorry you feel that way but that's the only Jussie I know. The Jussie I know could never even conceive of something so unconscious and ugly. His innocence or judgment is not for any of us to decide. Stay in your lane and my lane is empathy and love and compassion for someone I've called my son for five years. It's God's job to judge and it's ours to love and hope, especially for those that we claim to have loved."
The FBI said that the Chicago Police were overstating things when they claimed that Jussie Smollett definitely sent a hateful, ransom-note style letter to himself. Law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ said that the matter of who sent the letter is still under investigation.
