· Fashion designer Philipp Plein was scammed out of $900k in an identity theft scheme involving Kanye West. Page Six reported that one of Kanye's "associates" forged the rapper's signature on a contract to perform at Plein's NYFW show, which happened yesterday. After Plein wired $900k to what he thought was Kanye's rep, the alleged conman immediately emptied the account
· Fans speculated that Kanye's friend Malik Yusef was behind the scam; Yusef denied the claim and said that he had been in contact with Plein to create t-shirts to fund a new nonprofit, Donda Social. Yusef said Plein's $750k donation was returned after Kanye became "incapulant"
· In a statement, Plein's rep admitted he had been scammed and denied any misconduct on his and Kanye's part
