As we're seeing some internet changes cool, bad, and ideas we're unsure of, I couldn't help but think about what changes I'd like to see on other social media and other websites. @ ONTD web developers, computer engineers, Java Chip Script Frappuccino legends. We might see more amalgamations in the future, and/or sites just simply dying.
Now idk if these features already exist and I just don't know, and they might be accessible with a simple plug in to download. These are probably trash ideas but they can't be as messy as what FB has become.
|This post was sort of inspired by the fact I just discovered their 'lists' feature after imagining how convenient it would be... while it already exited lmao. Twitter has been decent in its changes over the years from its media options (remember the need for Yfrog and Twitpic?) and extended character count.
|Where my Pinterest users at? Been planning your dream home? I don't have a lot of reccs other than editing the website's layout to fixed-sized rows (I know Tumblr has this option, idek if Pinterest already has this).
|Okay, not a social media website BUT are we going to point out why this still looks like how it did since the beginning of its time? Maybe this is a 'don't fix it if it ain't broke' situation for a site that looks outdated and untrustworthy (which it kinda is at some extent). Are you fond of how it looks ONTD?
|W4w for nostalgia? - which is a possible way Myspace can get itself to start trending again. Even though it had its ball rolling back in the day, even opening its own music label and purchasing Imeem (shoutout to those who remember that), I've always hoped for a mini Myspace comeback.
|Yes, it's a sjw but also nazi landfill... like the rest of the internet. I know your favorite porn blogs and OnlyFans... entertainers? influencers? whatever you call 'em all migrated to somewhere else with its recent policy changes. Now I don't know what else to recommend aside from its weak actions on reporting blogs that need to be purged.
|Instagram has also been decent with its updates (pseudo Snapchat [IG stories], saving posts without the need to like) even though it had its scares - from its momentary horizontal scrolling, to the apps' minimalist aesthetic people initially didn't like.
|I'll keep it cute here and recommend sumn simple.
|CANCEL IT ALL?|
"Go Girl" - Pitbull (2007)
We can hit your place
We can hit my place
She's on my top 8
I bagged her off of Myspace
"Touch My Body" - Mariah Carey (2008)
If there's a camera up in here
Then I'd best not catch this flick
On YouTube (YouTube)
"XXXO" - M.I.A (2010)
A knock at the door
Then we hit the floor
And all I know is that you leave me wanting more
I don't let it show
But I think you know
Cause you're tweeting me like Tweety Bird on your iPhone
"Tumblr Girls" - G-Eazy (2014)
'Cause I'm in love with these Tumblr girls, with skinny waists and drug habits
Pretty faces love status, she acts as if she's the baddest
"Loyal To Me" - Nina Nesbitt (2018)
If he never wants you to meet his friends
If he ain't tagging you on the 'Gram
Take your heart and turn around while you still can
ONTD, what new features and updates can you think of for websites/apps?
