Speaking of a long wait for sequels you didn't know you needed (or even wanted) the 1988 comedy Coming to America sequel is apparently happening & has found it's director in Craig Brewer, who just directed Eddie Murphy in Dolemite Is My Name.
Murphy is onboard reprising his role as Prince Akeem. The rest of the cast has not yet been announced, but a source notes that they're trying to bring back former stars like Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, John Amos, and Shari Headley.
The plot apparently revolves around Prince Akeem finding out about a long-lost son and going to America to find him, as he’s now Zamunda's next heir.
(OP wants to know if they will call it Coming Back to America, or go with the uninspired Coming to America 2?)
